Before joining, he gained an impressive track record of culinary expertise at Great Fosters, Surrey, now a Michelin-starred restaurant; at the 5-star Seaham Hall Hotel located on the Durham coast; and at the Duke William pub in Kent.
Under Thomas' stewardship, and with the help of excellent kitchen and front of house teams, The New Inn has been awarded Midlands Gastro Pub of the Year; Herefordshire Pub of the Year; has been recognised as serving one of the Good Food Guide's Top 50 UK Best Sunday Roasts; and features in the Good Food Guide's UK Top 100 Local Pubs.

Front of House Team Member
Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Front of House Team Member.
This role will primarily cover breakfast and lunch service, ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their visit.
You will be an important part of the guest experience, working closely with the kitchen and wider team to deliver smooth and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a friendly and professional welcome to guests
- Setting up and delivering breakfast and lunch service to a high standard
- Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Serving food and beverages and clearing tables promptly
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant and bar areas
- Handling payments and operating the till when required
- Supporting colleagues during busy service periods
- Following food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing standards at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous Front of House or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- Barista experience preferred
- Confident, approachable, and customer-focused
- Reliable and punctual, with good attention to detail
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Housekeeper
Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Housekeeper to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role that plays a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest experience across the business.
The successful candidate will be flexible, a strong team player, and will be able to take ownership of housekeeping and related duties, while supporting wider operations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning all downstairs areas, including the restaurant and bar, always to a high standard
- Completing a weekly deep clean behind the bar area
- Cleaning and maintaining three guest rooms, ensuring excellent presentation
- Managing all laundry processes, including deliveries, collections, stock checks, and records
- Completing in-house laundry and ironing for items that cannot be sent to the external laundry supplier
- Ordering cleaning products and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Supporting breakfast service as requested by the Front of House Manager
- Assisting with other duties as required, including:
- Kitchen porter duties
- Setting up for lunch service
- Preparing areas for functions and events
- Reporting any maintenance issues promptly as they are identified
- Working collaboratively with the wider team and supporting colleagues where needed
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends when required
- Willing to assist across different areas of the business
- Positive attitude and strong team-working skills
